Welcome to our Archives & Special Collections

    May 27, 2020

Welcome to our Archives & Special Collections website where you can explore our online digitized materials and learn more about our archival and special material Holdings at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Library.

Though the Library has acquired records and artifacts dating from the establishment of the campus in 1967, the Archives & Special Collections was formed in 2019 to acquire, preserve, arrange, describe and provide access to our rare and unique materials in support of curricula and research at UTM. Our team has begun the process to preserve and arrange our current Holdings so that we can create finding aids and catalogue records for discovery. As we process our Holdings we will identify materials for digitization and make them accessible on our Collections page.

To date, we have digitized the complete run of Erindalian campus newspaper from its first issue in 1968 to its last issue in 1973 when it was renamed the Medium. Over the next few months we will add selections of our Campus Photograpy fonds and interviews from the Queer Peel Oral History Project.

As we add to our digital collections, check out our News page for the latest updates, feature posts on unique materials, and behind-the-scenes reports on how we process and digitize our rare and unique materials.

In the meantime, take a look around and discover our materials. We look forward to connecting with you on your research projects!
