The Electric Playground was founded and launched by Victor Lucas in 1995. The show ran on television for over 25 seasons reaching millions of viewers internationally, and became the world's longest running program focusing on gaming and game-related news, and game reviews. It went through several transformations over the course of its television career, most notably splitting into two daily half-hour shows in 2010. The flagship show, EP Daily, focused on delivering daily news and previews spanning games and game culture covering topics such as games, films, comics, toys, and gadgets, while also delivering on-location footage of events, red carpets, behind-the-scenes interviews, and more. Its spin-off show, Reviews on the Run, delivered consumer-focused reviews of games and gaming technologies. Both shows continue to be produced and distributed online, predominantly via short segments delivered on YouTube.
